    Angry Seat Belts

I bought a new set of belts for my van as the ones that came with it where frayed and past there used by date. Ordered a pair from Kingswood Country only to find when I went to fit them this afternoon that the bolts and all the washers are M12 metric size. The original nuts in the floor and pillars are 1/2" UNC. Does anyone know where I van get hold of replacement belts that are not the generic one size fits all type?

No but there are a couple of mobs on the internet and ebay i think that can refurbish your old ones. Don't know what they cost but worth a look. I want to refurb my original HQ ones.

Problem solved. I ended up having to enlarge the holes to suit the 1/2" UNC bolts. I only found this out by chance by looking at the APV Safety Products website and coming across a work instruction. Still not 100% happy that I have to do this. I will speak to the guys at Hemco and see it they can reco my orginal units. I like the fact that Hemco are set up to test to the ADR standard.

I got a full set for my Torana from Hemco here in Ballarat. They make a great product. Everything has to legally meet Aus ADRs and they are nice people.
