Got there... but it took too long

Washer - Corroded terminal and pump stuffed
Horn - can hear relay clicking when horn depressed - Horn replaced
Reverse lights - this was bullshit! The slop in the shifter is causing havoc with the rev light switch
Heater fan - had no idea WB had a fan relay. Fuse/relay was blown/melted
    temp gauge - sender stuffed
oil switch - switch was stuffed
handbrake warning on dash- dummy light cluster was stuffed - very tricky considering some of the lights on the cluster worked

so I'd convinced myself that 7-8 items that were stuffed had to have a common link. i was wrong. it's was just your typical neglected bucket of shit work ute!

i've learnt a heap and have no regrets as i can only dream I would've paid a auto sparky telephone numbers to fix them all. thanks to all that gave me pointers!

Fantastic! I told you you'd get it. You now have so much knowledge about YOUR electrical system.

Experience like this will help you so much in the future.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

Great work. Did you end up using a test light to do this?

All good mate. You can do it anyway you like. You got the result. Plus you are an expert on voltages now.
