There were many factors in place that saw many H series parts suppliers changed, parts deleted and then reinstated a couple of years later. An upheaval was more than just a bit, it was substantial.

Couldn't agree more! I could give a couple of examples of when a change of manufacture back in the day, changed the design or layout of the part. Especially back in the 80's for genuine spare parts compared to what was fitted to the car originally. I think myself that this horn button is a great example! I have brought may NOS parts in the past only to find out that they are 80's or 90's made not 70's made so different in design, shape etc.

So. Where does this leave a concourse resto. Is the NOS part that was made in the 80's or 90's still classed as correct? Oh this opens a huge conversation/bitchfight! Lets not have it haha!!!

my ute had circa 90's holden doors and nose cone perhaps, doors for sure. and ive seen a console too. agreed nothing even close to the original stuff in terms of look and feel.

I have a Nos Buckskin one still in the box with the bottom section of the lion missing. I always thought they were UC Torana horn pads to suit the coloured Sports steering wheels.

No its correct NOS one paid $330 repo are $250

I need a black horn pad assy for the HZ as in Jason's first post if anybody has one, or as I have a pad, a badge and the nylon fitting hub would suffice. Any help appreciated.
