Or not?
How would any one know and what difference does it make in 2015?
You would need to look at more than a couple of photos on the net to know.
I love the way these threads go. Look this is for sale. Lets all pick it apart. Someone on here buys it. Gee you did well buying it. Welcome to the club. I am going to restore it. No one ever sees it again.
Settle down tiger im not picking it at all and yes last time i checked it is 2015
i have the same guards on my HZ they were already on the when i bought it 27 years ago
it was a common thing to do and still is
not very common to be dealer fitted back in the day but im sure it did happen
The A at the start of the chassis number denotes the first production run of that particular model under the ADRs. At the first ADR update during the HZ model run the chassis number would then become BHZxxxxxx. The number on that van is correct for an early build HZ and this is shown by the date on the same tag of 12/77, only the third month of HZ production, the chassis and body numbers both end in B for a Brisbane built car and XX7 is stamped on the body plate which is all correct for a Brisbane built Sandman.

Nice van, and it would be nice to see more photo's of course. As time goes on the prices increase, it will sell, that's for sure.

This van now lives in Toowoomba.
Disclaimer: I am not an expert.
