Read somewhere the other day that hq-hj tail gate hinges are short and hx-wb are long. Took a couple of pics today of my hj tail gates and they are both different, so one is right and one wrong. I have been looking through pics and it seems they did change at the start of hx, can someone tell me why please?

i thought it was HQ only with short. ill have a look at my 4/75 HJ tomorrow and let you know. No idea why they changed by shorties are in high demand. my HX has long

HQ have the short hinges. Id say there were too many dented tailgates from maybe the towball etc. The rubbers on the bumperettes also a different to match.

Mauser, what are the differences in the rubbers, that might have a bit to do with the hinge change as well?
