tri window tail gate

G'day,

Are these tailgates aftermarket? Are they modified originals? Was this a custom thing of the 70s? I have seen a few around.

Modified originals. I think Agro has one on his van.

Thanks for the info - agro i bought it years ago somewhere in Geelong. I am not going to use it, I was just going to maybe cut some bits off it to replace rusted sections on my own standard tail gate, unless of course someone in here really wants one like this, then we can work something out before i cut it up.

I was going to use a 2nd one on my HJ.
But as i have bubble windows now, i'll be using this one on my HJ.



Not unless you have bubble windows for the little ones as well??

no unfortunately they are just plain untinted glass.

my ol man bought an hj sandman new and i remember he had it for a couple of weeks before he took it back to the dealer to get little windows put in the upper tailgate coz he couldnt see...dealer probably just sent it out somewhere to have it done..
i must get mother to find the slides with the pics of his sandman and get them copied..:Chin:
