Did the HX and HZ Sandmans have the overflow bottle near the battery or just HJ Sandman ??
Did the HX and HZ Sandmans have the overflow bottle near the battery or just HJ Sandman ??
I only recall seeing overflow tanks on late HZ, not particularly on Sandmans, in my recollection more common on prem/statesman & presumed it was an accessory fit. On earlier models, I would thought to be retro fitted.
Thats just my thoughts, & may not be totally accurate, it would be great to get a definitive answer
I have never seen one on a Sandman just curios thats Fred installed one thats all
I wondered if it was fitted as a result of factory air con?
Wasn’t it a Nasco (or just Holden) part that was available as a dealer fit thing? That’s probably why some had it and others didn’t. Could have been part of the outback pack too??
Would have been a Holden part as NASCO was all but fazed out by the end of 1972 and completely gone by the end of 1974. By then it was Holden P&A (Parts and Accessories) Division.
