Not to be too pedantic, but it’s a Ute. Styleside isn’t correct. Ute, van and one tonner.

According to chat sites and what information I found, the front shock absorbers were black from factory and the rears on a style side ute were woodsman green. From what i have read the picking slip number was LF
    Genuine lowering blocks?
Seriously but, that is some nice progress. Well done!

Australia never called them Styleside. We (Some Aussies) have been Yankafied.

Styleside was a term used for F-100 & GM type pick-ups in the US where the removable tray had a matching 'style' to the doors & front guards.

A proper ute doesn't have a removable tray so how can it be called a 'Styleside'. This is a Americanism. In Australia it is called a Ute !

I had a customer phone me the other day & he wanted to purchase a new fuel pump for his Nissan 350 "ZEE", after a few seconds I realised that he meant 350Z, but I still had to ask him what the hell he was talking about.

Long and short box/bed pickup truck. As Terry said, a ute is all one piece from A pillar to taillight. Technically you could call those late model Ford Falcon commercials a styleside.
I don’t understand how this has come into our language in the last 5 years. Before that no one called a Holden one tonner a ute! They were always a “tonner”, short for one tonner. A ute was a ute and a van a van.
Probably just blame the internet for proliferation of mistakes I guess.

Sorry guys, I will never refer to it other than a ute again.

Yes good pick up on the lowering blocks, the complete car resto is an attempt to be the closest to how it was delivered out the factory. I have the dealer rear window sticker and the start up instruction which hangs off the indicator stalk, but the ride height was the one thing i have altered and its 1 1/2 inches lower both front and back. It’s an easy swap back but I think it looks so much better sitting a little lower.

Owners Card "Important Message to Owner" hung from the headlight switch from the dealers yard. They have a slit from the top to the round punched hole for easy install. They also have a date code or other identifying features that give up the model it's made for when you know what to look for. I have no issue with the lowering of the car - they need it over factory spec!
