Based on the tags it could be a Sandman.

Firethorn Red with Buckskin trim, 253 4 Speed with a 3.36:1 diff ratio.

It takes more than tags to confirm though. We're looking for Chassis number, paint black outs, maybe evidence of stripes, console brackets, roof lining and all the GTS parts.

Thanks if you could point me in the direction of where to find chassis number also the car has had some repairs and mods from previous owners I'm guessing as it has a black gts dash it has mounting holes for a centre console I think it has the holes and also weld point above rear tailgate for roof lining but if you could explain exactly what I'm looking for that would be great as for paint it looks as tho it has had a full respray been taken back to metal only firehorn red paint I could find was on upper rear tailgate after I removed rear window the steering wheel looks like it was a buckskin trim but very worn it has under dash lights fitted is there anything else I can look for im desperate to keep this van but unless it's a sandman I'm not so keen to spend the money to restore it thankyou for your help

Console Mounts There should be two, one small 100mm in front of the gear box hole, and the large at the rear
Hood lining The hood lining mounts are a teeth like mounting strip at the rear of the compartment with three holes down each side up where the roof meets the side.
Chassis Number The chassis number is located drivers side, chassis rail, near the steering box, on the top. Should end in an A in your case
Blackouts If you have a look at the main site and identifying photo you will see where the blackouts go. If they have been painted over you will need to remove the paint a layer at a time to look for evidence of the blackouts.
Stripes May be hard to find but sometimes when people remove them and do a closed door respray small pieces can be found behind the guards where they meet the doors or inside the doors near the hinges.
GTS Parts Dash, wheels, steering wheel etc bit hard these were popular parts and a lot of the cars got raided for parts.
Hope that helps, I may be a little off but I am sure someone will correct me if I missed anything.
If when you are checking you could take some pictures of these areas and post them that would help as well.

Rodney the A,B,CHZxxxxA are the ADR revisions during the model run.

HZ commercials after 1/79 have CHZ due to ADR 35 (commercial vehicle brake systems) all the passenger vehicles still have BHZ.

I thought the front spoiler could be a delete option from factory, if so no cut outs would be evident in stone tray.

I think there was only one delete option and that was DL7 stripes? Or perhaps the 4.2/5.0 litre badge was another.
