2014 Chevy's getting converted back into Holden Commodores

I was rummaging around the internet today, looking at possibilities to hack my Commodore's MyLink system and stumbled on a Chevy SS forum. Had a bit of a peak and was surprised to see the level of enthusiasm by American owners to turn their Chevy's back into Commodores. They are swapping everything from external logo's to trim pieces and even sending their MyLink units away to be reprogrammed so the lion logo comes up on it.

Years ago, i remember how everyone down here wanted the Chevy Bow Tie on their hot Holdens, strange how the world turns sometimes...

People like stuff that is different to what everyone else has, thus Aussies tend to want a bowtie logo and yanks want a lion.

This works until everyone copies you (bowtie logo is a great example) and then you have what everyone else has again.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

It's quite funny and quite acceptable both ways in my mind.
Good on 'em for getting enjoyment out of being different to the rest of the sheep.
I bet they wished they got the Ute and Sportswagon and then of course the Sandman!

People can do what they want with their cars but personally when I see a Holden with a Chevy badge I just don't get it.

Unless it actually has a Chev engine in it, I don't see the point. In the 80's and 90's you would see a car with the bowtie and ask the owner if it had a chev. Most times the answer was no. Maybe just wishful thinking.

My HQ is gonna run a chev badge.

Just to annoy people, even though it was the done thing back in the day when you ran a chev engine.
