Ive owned this panevan for a while now and only today noticed the body number. Its a 1973 model so not sandman but its an L31, M21 so im happy with that. Was told it had the original motor but after some research found car built early 73 and engine built in late 73. Have date code but engine number is gone.

Does anybody know of a method of etching or raising an engine number from a decked block?
I know it can be done would it be the same way that they X-ray welding
