Wbute means a photo of the actual number stamped on the chassis (drivers side rail) if that number matches what's on the tags then it still likely has its original chassis.
will get chassis no tomorrow
Nice looking ute early hj are the hardest to identify Doesn't it come down to the front consul mount which should be there because it was originally a m20 or is that only on base model M 80
We might need the expert HK to give this one the once over
HZ jasmine yellow sandman van
HZ Madeira red sandman van (now sold to bigrob)
HX mandarin red sandman ute
HZ malachite green sandman van

Im sure Byron has stated in other posts that the hj with a 2 seat cap and floor shift was a definite sandman as it was only the xx7 ute or van in Hj to get a floor shift. The front and rear console mounts should confirm it, so Im lead to believe.
I thought it was a full console vs a seat seperator. So front console mount is important. The thing with HJ ute being available as a Kingswood Sandman is you can't use the Kingswood to eliminate them. So they are next to impossible to prove because you are relying on one console mount that any Joe Average could weld in.
WB ,the side strips were deleted in hj xx7 Kingswood so it would take a bit to fill the holes in on the rear quarters,on a standard Kingswood and cut the correct hole for the floor shift also but your correct they are hard to pick before mid 75. A few other things would show it is or it isnt.
I think floor shift was available with seat seperator not just console.
Perhaps after re-reading earlier threads it was only console shift with Sandman but floor shift was available. HX onwards floor shift was available as console shift in other than Sandman as well.
