Thread: 15 x 8 rears. what size tyres?

    I have no clearance on the outside edge and 20mm clearance on the inside, the rims are centreline dragway indies. 1.5 inch lowering blocks. might be in the market for new tyres I think. going to miss the big bags though.

    probably mixing up my rims lol, Defiantly Centerlines Saturn finish with the 5 holes. think they are called indis..

    You look to have Centerline Champs or Dragway Indy rims.
    Have you got a decent picture and I will clear it up for you.

    You could get someone in an engineering shop with a big enough lathe to machine a bit off the face of the wheel (where it sits on the axle/drum) if there's enough thickness to increase the backspace a bit. I've done it a few times in the past, but you need to be sure it's not machined too thin. You'd be surprised how taking 5 or 6 mm off the face can help with clearance.

    I've had a VN LSD diff for ages I was thinking of putting in. its 10mm or so each side shorter. But making more work for myself when I was just doing a quick tidy up on a few jobs I'd been meaning get to for a while.
