Hi All,
I am a former Sandman owner,and this is a very informative site.It's great to look through as it's Sandman's only,and you don't get tangled up in unrelated topic's.It's a good thing to see these wonderful vehicle's being saved and restored,..."at great expense,"...to their former glory.

I had a 12/78 HZ palais white with blue interior Sandman ute, 4.2 litre manual. I bought it new in January 79, it came with the factory alloy rim's, fitted with ER70 Goodyear Supersteel tyre's, it had the bright blue stripe's on it. I bought it in western Sydney and did a fair amount of country driving with it,both highway and unsealed road's. It only ever had one minor warranty issue, they were,and still are a great Australian vehicle.

gedday robbo - where is it now? can you post an old photo of the ute - maybe in your 70's stubbies shorts and porno moustache? oh by the way everyone i am not gay hehe - just like old pictures from the 70's. 'yeah sure' i can hear you all saying - nice one - hope he doesnt come stagg to a sandman event - anyway will stop digging this hole deeper for myself hehe - Robbo if you have a photo of the old girl would love to see it!

Thank's for the welcome, I do have a few pic's, but of course they are real 70's quality though. I did have the moustache back then.."mick h"..lol. Fortunately though I'm not in any pic's, just give me time to locate them and I will post them in a few day's.
