Perfect car to build a Sandman replica from

Look at this old girl. Bugger all body work to do, body looks like a cracker. If it was close to me i'd go and look.

Yeah I agree it's a great starting point. Pity it's only a Ute but at least it's got the better WB front.

I like it as it is essentially worthless as a car and probably never would be worth much, but the body is fantastic by the looks of it. Plus it is a ute, so far less hassle to get into a nice replica than wasting all that time on a van body when it would only be a replica.

Nah, imagine it with chrome Elstar rims with M50 Kelly Supercharger tyres and painted bright Red. Sure your would need to lift the suspension a little but with the white UHF whip aerial it would be a fantastic ride for somebody. If the front offends you could always go custom (Sorry, - bespoke) and graft a UC Sunbird nose on it then it would look like a errr.... WB Kingswood! "T" Top sunroof if you can still get them would just about top it off unless you can find a XATAL canopy. Then you'd just about have a UC Hatchback with all the benefits of a Panel Van (well nearly!)

Real early WB late Mar/early April 80, I might have to ring and find out the chassis no. should be in the first 200

I doubt they'd have bodies as good as this one, you'd only be turfing the front and the V8 and 4spd anyway.
