    Qld U18 School Boys Championships

We've been in Brisbane for the last week at the U18 school boys rugby league championships.
We live in Mackay which puts us in the Capricornia district.
I realistically think that due to the incredible talent in both the northern (Cairns/Townsville) and southern (brissie/gold coast) areas that no one ever really thought that the Cap side could take it out........but they did.
The boys had only trained together once prior to the carnival. It was their "never say die" attitude that brought them home.
The went through the four days undefeated and won the final.
My son Sam was also chosen in the Qld side.
    Very proud.

Well done to you and son.
Just a pity your all Queenslanders! Still could be much worse.

Congrats to your boys. I used to travel all over the place with our son and hockey, union and our daughter with soccer. Great to see kids playing sports it sets them up for life and keeps them out of trouble. Now that I don't have all that sport to follow we do our own sandmaning stuff. Off to Darwin this week to see our boy who is now 26 and his lovely girlfriend and doing a trip through the Kimberley's and gib river road. Etc
HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"
    Married to RodneyHZ253

My Family is in Yeppoon, so it's also in Capricornia. Always had a lot of talented guys, even when I was throwing the ball 25 years ago. Shame the Capras cannot do the same as the young fellas.

Congratulations to your son Sam for making the QLD side.

My nephew Corey Lund also played in the Cap team but unfortunately didn't make the QLD team.

Credit where it's due, I've been down in Wollongong this week for the ASSRL championships. These NSW boys are tough buggers. The Qld side has been knocked out of the final. We are playing for third tomorrow.
The level of skill is fantastic.
