State of Origin

This is a thread for general discussion about the State of Origin series.

Cool post on a different thread from mauser today, but my answer got so off topic (nothing Sandman in it), decided to start this State of Origin thread. State Of Origin is a major part of Holden advertising after all, must cost them a fortune, so its sorta Holden. (They are a pretty major sponser). There were a few State of Origin comments last year so unless there is a better place to put this, maybe this is a good place to post or cross reference State of Origin comments.

Starting with mausers classic post from today; (scuse me mauser, but I couldnt post my answer to this in that thread, I got way too off topic, so I put my answer here).

... and we all know in the 70's QLD'ers couldn't count.

Neat tune! Still laughing! And it seems to confirm Canberra is in NSW.... just going on the song. A (Victorian) friend of mine during State of Origin last year had the audacity to suggest Canberra wasn't part of NSW for State of Origin, slightly ruffled me feathers; Clyde, Mullens, Croker, for a start, (and Stuart and Daley count as Canberrans at least) and Meninga, well, QLD is fair enough for State of Origin, remembering of course three grand finals with Canberra.

In discussion with my friend he then went on to suggest Canberra wasn't even in NSW....!
Now, is Canberra in NSW?
