How to tell if original engine

Hey all, I'm heading to check out a Hj sandman this morning, all the tags that I have been sent so far check out to be the real deal (from what I can tell) but the only thing I am unsure about is how do I tell if the Motor that is currently in the van is the original ?

you need to decode the casting stamp on block. if looking at the motor, its below valley cover behind timing cover on RHS. it will say ie 6g5 that will be 6/7/1975 (if my counting is right). first number is the day, letter is the month, last number is the year. i don't know a lot about how far in advance from the cars build date that the block was supposed to be cast but I think a month or two pre vehilce manufacturer is OK

I can't read the tags as photos won't open up bigger, but f you send me the engine number and better pictures of the tags i'll be able to tell you if the engine isn't the original.

Wow, a Cyclamin Metallic HJ Sandman. Only the 4th i've recorded!

Is the chassis number BHJ20444B? Last number is hard to read and it can't be a 1.

Engine number will start with QR7003.
