Sandman without original chassis. Still a Sandman?

Spoke to a bloke selling a Sandman, but replaced chassis after an accident. Everything bar GTS front guards are original. How much does that effect value?

It's like this Cam...........I've got a hammer that's been handed down through the family for 500 yrs. Thats right a 500 yr old hammer. It's only had 75 new handles and 35 new heads but it's 500 yrs old.!!! Looks as good as new.

It is still a Sandman but expect a 40-50% value drop, so unless it is really cheap and not much needed to spend look elsewhere.

Very steep. I reckon the value should be close to par with a similar condition v8 non-sandman. Technically it is still a Sandman, but it's full collectibility isn't there. The Sandman aspect is just a good story rather than a value adder.

If the seller isn't hiding the fact and some one wants to pay the price, good on him.

It's always what some one is prepared to pay that gives it the value.
