Hmm....

Seems to be an ashtray block off for when Power Windows were fitted to a GTS 4 door.
Did it carry over to the console later? My memory is that the console didn't have an ashtray in the HQ Sandman. But when I mentioned this before I was told I was wrong. That could have been because it was "assumed" no hole in the console? Anyway it has to be a fairly rare item (either way).

They were in the short consoles as well. HQ's all had the hole at the rear to screw it down. I thought we did determine a HQ Sandman would of had the blank. I have seen plenty of short consoles with these in them on ebay.

There's big dollars being asked for HX-WB radio blanking plates as well. I've been chasing one for a while.

they do repro for HQ GTS but the later stuff is pretty hard to come by. i reckon $50 odd bucks. the other alternative is to get an original radio that is not working for $50 to $100 and slot that in.

We bought a blanking plate from the wreckers it was about $10 it's in the HX ute, I found a white needle radio the other day in with my special parts I had forgotten about as well, might put it in and sell the blanking plate for stupid money
