    HZ Sandman - Firethorn Red

I thought I already had this on here but couldn't find it. Could be a double up.

It definitely doesn't look like much at the moment.

Agreed it is pretty stuffed. I can't weld to save myself but I know a brave panel beater.

Can you buy replacement inner sills?
I've had a look online and can't find anything so I'm guessing not.

i had a fairly original windowless HJ sandman van and when i struck a similar sight i got scared. i too thought my beater was brave but he refused to finish the job after seeing the inners. he said it was a death trap and he wouldn't be caught dead driving it. he left me to my own devices after doing 1x inner lower rear 1/4. suffice to say it was moved along.

I'm no structural engineer, but with the full chassis I would have thought that repairs are done to the body of a ute or van would have less significance structurally wise than a sedan or wagon of this series

If you are serious about fixing a Sandman body just get a donor body for replacement sections. Lots of work though and you can save serious $ by unpicking spotwelds yourself - you'll be very good at it by the time you are finished! You'll find a half decent WB van body for sensible $.

I've actually got a windowless Wb van in the wind. Have only seen pics though.
It's such a shame, I'd sacrifice the white hj van if it was windowless.

I'm really not sure what to do with the HZ , it's obvious it wouldn't be easy to move on in its current condition. But it doesn't owe me a lot either.
The chassis is ready to reassemble, all blasted and ppainted.
All new suspension, ball joints etc .
