Engine number seems to be close to matching the van build date.

    I thought so as well.

A friend of mine has those colours on his HJ Panelvan, the deville blue and black interior and its nicer than I thought it would be actually.

you could of bought this van for $1,500 3 years ago... i'd know. I did!

It's an ultra rusty bucket that is full of bog. So if you're inclined to pay $10k for plates and chassis (not a scrap of GTS gear left on it) go for it!!!

    1977 Holden Sandman Van/Minivan-$9,000.00 Negotiable-Angle Vale, SA

I must have to get an updated referdex, thought Angle Vale was a suburb of Adelaide.

    Learn something new everyday .

Even though a HX 1977 deauville blue sandman would be great to have again, I had to way up the amount of money that is asked for an original and then battle to keep it original over adding modification so I found it was a lot easier to find a roadworthy van in great condition and at about 1/3 of the price. A HZ WN plated with all the Sports GTS gear and modify to my own tastes. During 70’s the van craze most vans were modified. Like all the old classics cars you have to admirer the owners that prefer to keep and maintain an original. In the context of a clean completed original the price of a around $30,000 it is not asking to much. The cost to bring a van back to its original state and to maintain it in that condition has been brought up on this site many times.

Hey Vom, you owned this actual van? Anyone interested would definitely need to get the lowdown of it from you. It does have GTS badge in the grill though haha
