WB high beam lights selection

Hi guys,

When I select high beam from my indicator stalk on my WB my high beam headlights don't light up at all and only my Parker lamps are on. Then I flick it back to low beam and all is ok.

Would this be an issue with the indicator stalk switch or is there another relay or something I should try?

Are the non genuine indicator stalks ok? $40 versus $400.

If you're handy with a test light check your fuses, relays and if you are actually getting power to the bulbs in that order. The switches are a known fail point (and it does sound like yours may be knackered) but worth looking at the whole system in logical order.

The switches aren't brilliant but better than the first aftermarket versions of them years ago, though from the couple I have seen of late don't seem to sit as "tight" on the column as the OEM ones did from new. The commodore ones are different from what I remember of them.

Commodore have a different plug.

As Taily said but do they have a relay. I can't remember. I know they melt the plugs on the globes if you put bigger wattage globes in.

I vote the stalk is the problem. I remember dimming my lights once and the went off alltogether which was fun.

Is there much involved with pulling the steering wheel off? It is a normal Kingswood steering wheel.

no big deal just remove 2 screws from your cap remove centrenut from coloum and use a steering wheel puller as not to damage the top bearing
