Windshield Washer

Working on 77 HX Sandman. The wiper motor on this vehicle has a pump that runs off of the wiper motor which appears to be correct. However, my car had a bag style reservoir mounted to the fender well that has a pump in the bottom of the bag. Is the Sandman supposed to have a bag style reservoir or should it have a molded plastic reservoir for the washer fluid. When I look at the parts houses, I'm getting conflicting information on what should be on the car? The pump on my wiper motor isn't working so I just purchased a rebuilt unit from E-bay but want to make the rest correct.

yours preslite or lucas? deffo not meant to have pump on the reservoir. i have a 77 HX kinga with lucas and mine is stuffed too. was looking at the NOS complete unit for $140. is that the type you got from wrecker in Victoria?

Mine has the Preslite wiper motor. I was bidding on just the pump portion on e-bay but I lost it yesterday!! Someone had a NOS unit that was just what I needed since my motor worked fine. The unit I just purchased on e-bay was a reconditioned unit. I'm not sure who the seller was but I just sent over a request for the total to pay.
