I found a bit of the old original baffle material (see photo). Though I must say that I really like the rubber idea, thanks to all who suggested it. And what a great idea with the hair spray Big Rob, that should make the installation heaps easier!

I would not use rubber, moisture could get trapped behind it, needs something breathable so air goes through and around it.

The ones in my HQ are made out of the same stuff that is under the dash on the firewall as sound deadening. I have to cut another out to replace one and I was going to use that. I'm sure strips of blue packing strap on either side along it would help slide them back under the supports but I haven't tried yet.

I noticed the later models have a moulded foam type one but are not sure which plant or where it changed to them. These ones look like you couldn't take them out successfully. They are much more permanent and wouldn't be easily dislodged.

How much sweating and huffing and puffing do you lot do in there to cause so much condensation. I don't plan on washing the back and getting everything wet. :-)

That sound deadening is the stuff I was talking about.

Looked under your carport/outdoor area roof in the morning lately? Condensation!
Particularly if the car is left out overnight and not even all night you will get it.

    Just in case.

    LOL Mauser!

When blocking back primer in the back of my van I wondered how many heavy breathing females may have been in the back of it over the years!! As there was a lot of condensation caused rust!!

The other thing I was thinking about using as strut baffles was memory foam. It can be squashed down, pushed in to postion, and then will take on it's original shape once pressure is released. I don't know if it retains moisture like the old foam does though. I will have to talk to a foam supplier to see.
