    Barry's HJ Ute

Hi, I have had a HJ sandman ute under cover for 13 years now, and intend to start on it soon, although it was rebuilt when purchesed, I intend to take it to the next level.
Can you tell me how to determine if the engine is the original 308, installed ?

    Thanks

    Barry

PM me the vehicle's details and the engine number and i'll tell you for certain if it isn't the original engine, and possibly will be able to tell you if it is.

That is a bit dissapointing, do you feel it alters the value or credibility much??

Just thinking, should I try to source a block, and build it up ?
What should the engine code be?

It is red at the moment, and in very good condition, partly hot rodded, I beleive it's original colour is yellow,
I have had it for 13 years and just trying to decide whether to change the colour back to original, not having the the original engine has made me start to re think what to do.
Had some pic's, lost them, I am going to where it is stored Tuesday to recheck the plates to double check if it is a Sandman, will take some pic's then.
