Thread: Slowly making a start on my new hz xx7 project

This diff came out of a hj ute. A sandman actually. I helped him put a 4.44 LSD in it so I got the 3.08 LSD as payment that's winning every day of the week in my opinion.
The diff was rebuilt. And my sandy came with a "bangjo in it".. I never knew of the differences but now that u guys mention it I have seen the weld on rear stabiliser on my old WB..... Interesting

Front rim centres were dropped off at the chrome platters today. Got quoted $90 ea and two weeks to do them (this probably means 3-4 weeks??) he said he will have the "silver" parts lookin shinny and polished but the black bits he won't worry to much about as there hard to get looking good.. I'm painting that part black again anyway so I guess it don't really matter.

Ok I'm not sure if anyone has done this but. polishing your new brake lines
It's very easy I done it on my HQ as we'll and they just stay shinny without polishing
I get the green stuff with I think a yellow line down it. Make your line and simply rub it with 600 sandpaper, rub it with never dull. Then rub away with a soft rag and done. It does not take long at all.
Photo 1 shows after I've rubbed the lines

Photo 2 shows a lil bit I polished. Photo isn't the best but u get the point
