I agree with Mauser, good for all but a 4.2L HZ Sandman isn't worth $40k, would have to be perfect to get close. Only takes one buyer though, there are people out there who pay $5k for a handbag.

With a new VF Sandman due soon, i expect to see these sort of prices more often......is it worth it? Probably not.
As we all keep saying. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
I'm glad to see Sandmans getting this sought of attention.
I have been offered $40k for mine. But I also have been offered $25k.
So if I was to sell it I would set a price and that's it not negotiable.
As it's not for sale I don't care what people offer me.
Windsor Blue is still a "fn" awsome colour. But I'm bias.
That place always seems to have Toranas for sale at top dollar.
They're usually good looking cars but optimistically priced.
Yeah, that's the strangest looking auto shifter I've ever seen. Maybe the air cleaner lid stickers are wrong too and it's a 308/4-speed.
Hoses from wiper motor to washer nozzles are missing too.
10 grand less and would be a good buy.

Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Not to mention non original engine.
I personally don't agree with comments that its good for us if they start commanding these types of $$ or more if 308/completely correct. Whilst these prices may be good if you're getting out of the hobby and can recoup your resto cost, believe me, from living through the Monaro price surge 10 years ago it makes it tough to restore a car once the prices have jumped. Every part seller or spare parts car is also worth 10x what it used to be worth and as a result resto costs go way up. And as a result take longer to save up coin
