I'm thinking about getting one of these as the next project...if i can ever finish the van. Anyone know anything about them? I just reckon they look cool!

Good cars to look at apparantly. From what i've heard they drive like a 1959 Holden but faster. Very cool looking cars though.
Not cheap either.... Doesn't or didn't Jimmy Barnes own one.

Youve just soiled the thread mentioning Jimmy Barnes
Hmm, not sure I fully agree Alien DNA. I drove all the way from Melbourne to Adelaide to see Jimmy Barnes, supported by the Rolling Stones. Couldn't get a Barnsey t shirt so I had to settle for a Rolling Stones one! But I think you have a point, I can't see this car associated with Jimmy Barnes, it just looks too pretty.
The early ones had mechanical fuel injection I think and the split rear window ones are very desirable.
That Rochester injection was optional on Chevrolet cars in the late 50's and early 60's.
Nothing wrong with a bit of Barnesy. Not all are into death metal or whatever that screaming sh!t is that makes Barnesy sound like a choir girl.
I played golf with him once at Mittagong Country Club. I'm not a fan, but he was a very nice bloke, nothing like I imagined he would be. A pretty good golfer too, and he won me over by refusing to let anyone shout drinks at the end of the round.
First and last time I met him, but one I won't forget in a hurry.
Sorry to drift off topic a bit but...
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
