On another note....i was at the local Holden dealer today where my parts mate took me around the back and showed me a black V8 Sandman wagon was waiting to be picked up. I noticed how thick the new decals are....and i mean thick.....like double what the 'stick this' ones are like. I would be very careful when washing a new sandman incase the sponge gets caught or lifts up the decal. i would almost be tempted to get a clear coat over them to lock them down...but unsure how the decals themselves would handle that. Food for thought i guess

Not much use for a surfboard out here but would be a neat collectors item.

In the mail today I received a complimentary voucher for the 1 month inspection service.
That's 7 weeks after taking delivery and 3 weeks after I actually had that service done !! Well done Holden.

Righto, here's another one. I took delivery of the sandman and a SV6 sedan on the same day in the middle of the 4 day Holden sale which gave 5 year factory warranty. I paid for both on the day of delivery and only the SV6 was given the 5 year warranty. Why I hear you ask. Because I 'ORDERED' the sandman in February. Was I expecting too much from Holden. If you walked in of the street and bought a sandman that was sitting in the showroom in the sale you got the 5 Year warranty.

It's a bit hard when I'm mates with the manager. But I thought it was poor form considering I purchased two new cars.

Those types of sales and the incentives that go with them are designed to help the dealers clear floorstock. Holden make up the deals and process the extras and rebates once the dealership submits the paperwork. Holden know what the dealers have in stock so there's no way of fudging the system.
