Funny, that's exactly what I thought lol!

Maybe, just maybe they were trying to avoid confusion with the 1974,1975,1976,1977 editions?

PS. Nothing sinister in the disappearance of my previous post, I simply stuffed up the quoting doodad and it was just best to start again!

Some interesting things from yesterday. I posted on 2nd of June that all Sandmans had been built as told to me by my Holden dealer. My ute still had the build stickers on it from the factory before it was detailed..... Build date....2nd June. The silver won I saw in Toowoomba was May build. Also the dealer rings me yesterday morning and says I may not be able to pick it up. Why? Because the Queensland department of transport says that the VIN number doesn't exist yet so they can't register it. Holden hadn't down loaded the Vins for the VF Sandmans onto the Nation Vehicle Data Base. The state Manager had it rectified in a couple of hours. My ute may have been the first one registered. At least in Queensland
