Not hate, but not a fan of that combo of colours on white. The white car looks good because white looks good with blackouts, black tint, black wheels etc hence why I reckon black stripes would suit it better . A colder set of colours (blues) as used by GMH on white HX and HZ would probably look far nicer too.
Overall I feel they've used the whole tail stripe "flick" at the ends too much, it is on the bonnet and tailgate where on the sides would have sufficed with a Sandman logo on the tailgate. Not my kettle of fish in the end, but remember that is what the majority thought of the HX stripes when they were new, people pulled them off and GMH later in HX made them delete-able as a result, and today people want old vans with that style of stripe. However delete the stripes on these and you've paid overs for a plate with a number and a few parts bin extras. In the end I'm delighted fact GMH has bought the Sandman name back with the ute (where it all started), I just think they've missed the mark and missed the whole point of why the Sandman was released in the first place.

I agree with you there Byron. It doesn't set in with the tradition so much which is why you bring them back. To go back to memory lane.

You mean "old Sandmans" the ones built last century that Holden is attempting to cash in on.

There's only one thing in those pics that I'd be interested in driving, and she doesn't have wheels.

However many go, they will be the star attraction.

These "Things" that Holden are trying to make a big deal of are a joke.... Stickers and a few bits that they cant sell.

I like the look of the ute, although DY2 stripe colour would suit better, but in a few years nobody will give a crap about them, they'll just be a VF ute with stripes.

    The wagon is just WRONG!
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

I love how stickers and left over bits are considered not a sandman now but in 74 to 79 it was ok. The old Sandmans were no more than a parts bin special with a sticker kit. They were built to be a cheap sales maker. Just like the VF Sandman.
