I wonder if in another 36 year's..(in reference to the HZ)..people will be searching for original part's, to piece these relic's back together.
    I'll be long gone anyway....ha,ha.

I like the ute concept, and it good to see the Sandman return before the end of the Holden.

I don't have a problem with it being available on SV6 and SSV, it very much resembles the original HQ where Sandman was optional on 6cyl Belmont ute and V8 Kingswood ute (as well as the other 4 x HQ models where Sandman was optional).

My only wish is that the stripes be optional or easily removed. Not a fan of 20" wheels either but that is rasily fixed for an everyday driver.

I'd buy an XR6T ute first though only as it'd be $15k cheaper.

Just think of the money you will save on the restoration if you buy one and...... It's concourse.
Seriously, I would love the V8 ute. Wish they made them in 4WD and as a one tonner. Oh well.
Actually if they did get serious and build a 4WD one tonner with the V8 they would eat into the Hilux class. Too bad they have to tow the line and sell Colarados.

I think the ute would sell well. The station wagon I'm not so sure of. I guess Holden did their research like they would have to produce the SS station wagons.

puts the ute too close to the base model maloo for price i think. at least maloo gets performance upgrades. if you ate dropping 50k on a ute whats another 10 grand or so. Probably the same with the wagon vs clubsport.

I had a vu ss fifty ute for a while, same sort of deal, base ss with some trim differences but they sold for same price as a normal ss.

Maloo is more useless as a ute than an SS based ute. At least the SS can carry 500kg. The Maloo would be near to full load with Gene and I in the front! Plus the SS can tow 1600kg legally.
