Lets hope its better looking than the Redbull effort and the random sticker kits you see on VE's.
Dont care how they dress it up it will never be a Sandman
its a commodore ute fact
It is a Holden ute, no Commodore utes since VSIII. Just like a HQ to HZ ute was a Holden ute, a vehicle based upon the passenger car body styles with some of the luxury levels transferring across. Old days we saw Belmont and Kingswood utes. Today there are SV6 and SS utes.
I get what you mean, but Commodore today only applies to the passenger line (with Statesman separate as always). The utes are simply Holden ute, Holden SV6 ute and Holden SS ute.
In the end calling an SS ute a Sandman by adding a few flash bits and stripes really isn't that much difference to adding Sandman to a HJ Kingswood ute. And then as you say turn around and say it's only a Kingswood, which it is. But the correct statement today for the VF version is "its only a Holden ute".
How good would it be though if HSV got hold of it and called it an XU3.

Essentially the same as calling a V2 or VZ Monaro a Commodore, or a late model Statesman a Commodore. Or trying to tell you your HZ Sandman is a Kingswood. All incorrect.
Ok its a Holden fricken ute there ive said it
What I meant was. HJ Sandman was just a Kingswood/ standard Holden ute with a sticker kit, just as the VF ute will be.
