black has been painted on sills before gaurds have been bolted on
    GVW 4850 lbs

I have had it for about 10 years, and my mate i bought it off had it about 25 years any info would be a great help

You would be looking at original paperwork to give you 100% confidence it is a genuine Sandman. These early models HQ-HJ are difficult to pick.

Your paint code "maybe" should read 15824 for Moneteray/Monteray Green. Some books list it different.
Month is good for Sandman, Kingswood is fine, 39E is Kingswood Bucket Seats Trim.

All the pointers are there. But cannot 100% confirm without detailed pictures or viewing the car.

If the body is original to the tags and the console/separator bracket is original it is a Sandman. If you want send me the car's details as HQ Sandmans are hard to find to record nowadays.
