I got hold of some Hq monaro seat which flip forward did these get used in vans (might make it easier to get to the back)
I'm going for a all black interior after all the body is painted would this be how they were cause I see a lot of brown or tan stuff which I'm not fond of cause it won't match my overall colour scheme
Are you doing a ute or a van? Basically the seats, door trims etc. in mine are as per HQ Kingswood not Monaro. (it is a Kingswood based Sandman ute)
Agree black would look great - the brown/tan stuff that you see around a lot (my ute included) is almost always 'Chestnut' colour. Note even though the interior is Chestnut the console is black as is the steering wheel and column - even though I have had my ute 25+ years I do not know for sure if this is how they were ex factory.
The seats do recline and as per Oz's post the covers are black plastic not chrome. The vans were based on Belmonts so I can't help you out there.
Thanks for the info I'm doing a panel van. I have a pair of comerical door trims with the scallops / squares around the edges and a pair with sharp diaginal pattern in the middle which ones would be for S/man
HQ Belmont Sandman van and ute had Belmont trim..... HQ Kingswood Sandman ute had Kingswood trim.
HQ Sandman seats were not flip forward like HQ Monaro... HQ Sandman seats were wind forward and back seats the same as 4dr sedans. The winding mechanisms were black plastic and the winding wheel had a chrome insert in the middle.... unlike HJ-HZ which had a black insert in the winder wheel.
