Azure blue always looks hot on a HQ Sandman. I don't know why GMH didn't make more of them as they would have sold once people saw them.

I reckon if I ever get the opportunity and motivation to build myself a HQ Sandman replica that is how i'll do it, ie Azure Blue except make it Kingswood (I'd use a HJ body though). Awesome looking car.

Trouble is it would have to built from NOS parts... haha I don't think there is enough HJ 308/M40 bits left NOS to do that.

Hi people... I'm back here again. Been away for a while climbing a mountain in Nepal... :-)

Nah, that is why the replica! I don't want a HQ because of the awful dash and no retractables, but I want the look of a HQ Sandman. It would probably be an injected 308 and 4L60E anyway and have WB buckets. But would look stock HQ from outside like the subject car of this thread, but have a tonneau.

I have another friend in Melbourne with the exact same spec ute but it is requiring a restoration, great colour wish my van was that colour
