    HK Monaro

I thought I had already put pics of this, I've had a look and I couldn't find them.
    So here goes round two.
I picked up a HK 80337 Monaro a while back, its got all of the GTS bits and bobs but its a two door taxi.
Lately she has been in the panel shop getting some rust cut out.

    A proper Holden!
She ain't a 2 door taxi, HK taxis were normally Belmonts. A HK Monaro is in both ID and appointments essentially a Kingswood.

I've had a bunch of these over the years, this my 2nd 6 cylinder and my 1st non GTS. I love it though.
After I sold the last one I thought the chance of affording another was slim at best.
    Very happy to have it.
    Gaz.

Dunno mate, she's currently 186 cubic inches of big block holden fury..........it is an "S" at least.
I really haven't thought too much about it, is it wrong to put a 308 in a HK?
I've got a good one sitting here, just need a sump.

The key signature (which is probably the one you can already decipher) is Bruce McPhee. The one on the left is Peter Brock which you also should be able to see easily. Not sure who the 3rd is. The other key signature you want on a HK is Bob Watson.

308 fits easily in a HK but all the gearbox mounting stuff is a bit hard as nothing is adjustable. I'm sort of making plans for a VZ LS1 and Muncie in my HK GTS at the moment using one of these:

    http://www.rodshop.com.au/index.php/...ront-ends.html

The only stumbling block at the moment is you can only raise these up to a height that is 2" lower than stock as they have 2" drop stubs in them. I'll probably be running 15" rims and as it is very hard to find V rated tyres in 14" so the tyres will be similar diameter to the old D70 Dunlops and thus I don't want the car lowered at all as I don't like HK's lowered unless they have lower profile tyres (don't like the tyres above the guard.

There's a VIC rally driver/co-driver Ken Garrioch. Not sure whether he has a connection to HK holdens or even if that's his signature. Just a suggestion for your research.
