Yep, as long as the chassis number matches the plates and there's no sign of switched plates.

1887, Chamois paint. That's gotta be pretty unusual for a Sandman too.

The GVW was my question as it must be a mistake or there is more research needed here. Has it got factory A/C?

This ute has been changed a bit it runs a 253 no A/C was an auto when my brother bought it back in 1985/86 he put back the 4sp just the fact it is the colour and trim i have my doubts but i have read somewhere can't find it now that if someone wanted a v8 4sp without all the good stuff they basically gave them a sandman in normal colour and trim but still have GTS dash and wheel i'm probably wrong but did read it and i ask my brother he didn't change the plates

What's the GVW expected to be Byron? Those 2 plates definitely belong together?

1860kg for a V8 HX XX7. 1950kg is the van GVW. The reason it can't be 1950kg is the ute's load capacity would exceed 500kg which defeats the whole point of XU4/XX7. The only thing I can think of that might raise it is if the car has integrated A/C, and the fact in HX an XX7/XU4 ute with integrated A/C and an XX7/XU4 van share the same tyre placard.

Could it have been orders with a/c or do you think someone done a dodgy
