It is your vision for your machine mate. I've found that it is a rare thing for every Tom Dick and Harry to share an individual's vision for their project. You build it the way you want it!
I looked at a couple of Mazda and Lexus colours (both very bright metallic maroon/reds) before I decided I should stick to a solid colour for my ute as I was going to paint it myself. I'm glad I stayed away from metallics and kept the original colour paint in my case, but that was a personal thing. Have since seen a ute on ebay painted in one of the colours I was looking at and it was a real thing of beauty, something of a standard I would not have been able to achieve doing it myself. I'll give a metallic a go one day...

Great response Taily. Each to their own paint, wheels, interior, model & budget. There is plenty of rust sitting in sheds, hats off to those having ago.
