Same crap in a new bucket. It is a canopy on a Ute that makes it look like a Sportswagon. It bares no resemblance to a Panel Van let alone a Sandman.

The car itself I don't mind, but it has nothing to do with being a Van. If your into the Station Wagon look - then here's your ride!
    Nailed it

If it actually had something in common with a Sandman(like having Sandman written on it as the main sign writing)instead of being just a promotion for redbull it might have a claim.
It's not negative, it's saying what you think. I think it's an add for a rubbish drink trying to get some extra mileage by leaching onto an iconic Holden.

All I know is there have been many two door V8 made around the world so what makes a Monaro any different to them and the Torana was a 4 cylinder that progressed into another Two/four door V8. But the sandman is just that a SANDMAN.
You can't find anything like it around the world. Our car!
This might not be a Sandman but they are promoting a car that brings us to this websit and that's a good thing.

Without canopy. The concept was originally a ute.

THE MARKETING boffins at Red Bull Racing and Holden have paired up to create a race-spec tribute to the original Sandman.
Dubbed #ProjectSandman, the shooting-brake was designed as a homage to one of Holden’s most iconic vehicles.
Boasting 650 horsepower, the silver machine is sporting V8 Supercar rims along with two surfboards. Radical.
A flagship model during the 1970s, the Sandman van became a part of Australian surfing culture.

The use of the word radical gives me a warm fuzzy feeling!

There some story that T8 (888) has actually made this one up in metal using a Sportwagon roof etc (True?).
Either way, doesn't look like a Panel Van at all.
It does look like an FE-FC van and a Gemini van. But not a W size van or any FB onwards Holden van for that matter!

They'd be better off calling it a Gypsy.

Would it be an old ute.."passed it's use by date"..out of the V8 series ute races? Then they have modified it to achieve this result?
