Hard to sell anything at the moment. I just looked at a HQ almost identical to your HZ but an auto, yellow, side windows and all. Minor marks, no body or minimal body rust. Good enough to register and drive. Could buy for $7k maybe less. When HQ's are around for those sort of $ you can see why it is hard to get decent $ for a HZ. If yours was a ute I'd aleady have grabbed it as a good HZ ute body is worth the asking price!
in my opinion a van is a lot harder to get in this condition and worth more.
hope i don't become too unpopular but i just cut up a rust free hz ute to make a trailer out of factory 253 4 spd great ute been sandblasted and all, i got it for $500

chassis had all new suspension blasted and painted
Van bodies have always been good to repair utes too as often the lower quarters are better. None of them are easy to find with really good bodies though, they aren't as difficult as coupes to find but still not easy. I'd still pay more for a good ute body though, but I wouldn't take one on unless it was super straight.
chuck the link up on yours id love a look, hopefully register it as trailer initiayl (next 3 weeks) then deck out with bbq across back esky across front hardwood flooring through centre and 12 volt system with deep cycle batteries cd/speaker amp maybe sub setup mounted in between panelbeater i know already has some paint so colour is going to be a green he did for a customer recently looks nice then I'm hoping to pickup a cheap seconds set of sandman decals
