Yeah I'll see what I come across in between now and when I need a manual box. Not to worried about keeping everything original, it's already far from it.

Thanks for moving the thread, Alien

Been thinking and I know I can get a gts facia new, but then I have to chase up gauges which will most likely need to be reco'd...

Bit of a google turned up this pic:

I'm normally not a fan of custom gauges but this one doesn't look too bad. Something along those lines will at least give me new accurate gauges lol

    Opinions?

OR....how hard would it be to stick some new gauges in the original dash?

I'm assuming the factory gauges being square doesn't help.

The more I think about it, the more likely it seems. More cost effective and more accurate. It's not a GTS so it doesn't really matter.

I do like the factory GTS dash though...Hmmm

Really personally the HQ dash is terrible
Go a flat panel with some nice custom gauges it will look a treat

Or change the sheetmetal to HJ to WB and run a HJ to WB dash....
Where the welds are is not exterior paint, bit of work but not that bad. Just use a HJ cabin harness and you can even reuse the wiring plug in the firewall.

Leaning towards chasing up GTS gauges and it costs what it costs. For some reason I can't quite bring myself to run the later GTS gauges in a HQ...

On another note, I should have the QLD 350 either this weekend or next

He seems like an alright bloke too, wants me to keep him in the loop on the HQ's progress.

Thanks again for putting me onto it, Byron. Much appreciated
