Sandmans are definitely popular if this big $$$ replica is anything to go by. I can't understand why you wouldn't do it to original specs if you were undertaking a full replica build!

HZ Persian Sand Mk2 Sandman (under full restoration)
HX Chamois Monaro GTS
That is cheap for a new car,Just love it.
Cheers Kiwivan
It is not about the journey,It is the style we travel in!
Nice car but $15-20k overpriced for a semi-restored Sandman, not worth that for a replica. Build cost to do the same though wouldn't be far off the asking price if you had to pay for it all.
It is nice but 45k mmm not sure about that
The flutes look weird painted like that!!!
Well first of all it looks great. Shame not genuine. At 45k make you think what an original is worth. I have a feeling that Sandman's and panel vans are going to be a big collector item in the near future. So get ready for some big bucks being thrown around for them.
Thats a sweet looking van he has done a great job yeah its not a genuine one but pretty close to it , if someone wants it bad enough he is probably on the money
Good fairly rust free Sandmans are rare these days thats another reason for prices getting higher to i think
