My first car was a VB Commodore (202 4 speed) in 1987 and i think it was around ~50c/ltr, but i remember the WA 'Roster' system better! Thousands of servos open during the day until 5pm and then only 2-3 open until 10pm in the whole of Perth. Those were the days!
15c a litre, cost me about $14 to fill my HT Kingswood from empty,

Here is some interesting reading for all.
70cents a litre. Used to be able to drive for a few days on $10.
I used to crack you poo's when gas went from 15 to 17 cents a litre that was when I was working at Bradford in Nunawading about 1992/93. My LX torana had a 186s with a 350 Holley Cain manifold and sadly a torque master 4 speed.
Just checked an old log book I still have and my Capri GTV6 in 1974.. 8 1/4 gallons for $5.20, so roughly 13.2c per litre. I was working at a local Service Station at the time and I can still remember how much the customers would complain when petrol went up by 1/2 a cent per gallon...now we have just become desensitised to the increase in fuel costs!
