HELP to ID Torana 253 V8?

Hi guys bit off Sandman topic but i've got what I believe is a Torana 253 V8 with a casting date of early to mid 1975. The engine number prefix is whats got me stuffed. It looks like 'WOxxxxx'. I've never seen an intake manifold on a HQ-WB motor that looks like this one so I didn't really expect it to be HJ HX. Is there any other way to ID if it is in fact Torana? thanks

Toranas use the same manifold as Holdens and Statesman.
No such prefix as WO, GMH didn't use O or I letters. You sure it isn't 11QR prefix, but can't be in 1975.

Does it end in P? Like W02xxxxP. That is a WA Police issued number.

The odd manifold "might" point to Bedford.

Original LH Torana 253 engine number prefix is HR (H for LH and R for 253), so I reckon yours is (as HK suggested) a police issued number. They were done when a block was decked and the engine number removed. If it wasn't re-stamped by the engine reconditioner it usually was just left blank until the car was inspected for rego, then the relevant Motor registry would require a Police number for rego. No big deal, but it screws up the history of the block.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
