Hi IM running 17x7 front 17x8 rear.
The vehicle is a Q ute so im not too interested in the rear end. Im upgrading to a turbo 5L and 4L60e. The motor is done and today after ive cleaned up Ill start pulling the trans down for a rebuild. Cheers.

Looking good! What have you done with the engine internals/heads etc?

I looked at high mounts after realising that there was no way I was going to be able to run low mounts, a crossover pipe and try and get an intercooler and a pair of cold air boxes behind the flutes in the front guards. It was doable, albeit with some fairly long pipework which turbos are not fond of but I wouldn't have been able to keep the lot fairly well hidden with only the minor inner guard mods I had in mind, which was the way I wanted it to present - that is only looking like a standard injected 304 when someone opened the bonnet for an "uneducated" look.

Have had a few other issues keeping me from getting back onto my build and we've just bought a house so a move is on the cards for us soon too. It is good when you can do the work yourself, saves big bucks.

    Hi Taily.
There is only so much power that can be used on the street so the engine is essentially stock , I am using a pair of t03/4 hybrid turbos with the aim of reducing lag and spool times. I hope to be making useable boost at under 2500rpm and about 1/3 throttle the boost limit will be set around 5-6 psi .There is still going to be clearance issues with the inner guards and I might have to put a bump or tow in the hood but ive got spares.
This is not a high budget or horsepower build but it should be lots of fun. Lots of torque down low.
And it would be irresponsible if I neglected to improve the stoppers as well.
My biggest concern is the trans but im upgrading with corvette internals . Total build cost so far is about $1500.
    Cheers

You've got a lot of balls pulling that auto apart! I can do just about anything, but those things scare the daylights out of me.

I guess it's a case of knowing what you are doing....

Looks like a good build anyway, Well Done.

Easy peasy just got to be a bit methodical and have the good book to follow. It will be finished tomorrow and painted then married to the donk and the fun begins.
