HQ pano "can't settle on a colour" opinions please...

So my van goes in for paint shortly and i'm still undecided on the colour. I was going with voodoo blue off the new commos, bought the paint but since changed my mind. Original colour is chrome yellow which I like but not sold on. Is it frowned upon to paint a hq a hx colour? eg aquarius blue. I love barbados green but my wife pulls an urk face every time we spot one. Your valued opinions would be appreciated

Your car you paint it whatever colour you like.... Chrome yellow does look great on a HQ though.

I agree with Absinth and your wife has very good taste. My personal favourites for a HQ are in no particular order:

Orchid
Saffron
Suburst
Azure
Sable
Aquamarine

Azure looks fantastic on a HQ van, Orchid looks amazing with white trim. Saffron looks really nice if accessorised right (wheels etc). Sable (and chrome yellow) look really nice with a splash of red (GTS grille and guard badges). Aquamarine is cool too.

Glad you backed out on the Voodoo Blue I don't think it would have done the van justice, like they say its your van but I don't think you can beat any of the period correct colours even including HJ HX HZ range

dont mind the barbados on a windowed van.

i'd go with Orchid or Aquamarine. Something is telling me you are on the right track with a metallic but deffo not a commie colour. keep it period correct otherwise it will date too quickly

Sunburst looks rubbish in photos and I was never a fan but in the flesh it is beautiful. That said Purr Pull, Cyan or Azure would also be nice.
