^^ Indeed
Ok, a bit of a significant update today. It might seem boring but this boot has been my biggest job on this van so far so i'm a bit like Mrs Mangles when i get news. The tub is finished custom construction and is now off for TIG welding. The floor is ready to seam weld and then we just have to bolt it back together.

Boot lid is finished. Just needs hinges and gas struts now. I also grabbed my works hydraulic die punch kit and punched the electrical harness holes in the two 'A' pillars, and also the extra one in the middle of the firewall for the Caprice wiring and vacuum lines. Biggest job today was assembling the car rotisserie we purchased.

"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
Looks great, nice customs job with that original factory look.
Hydraulic punches are great. We used one only last week for electrical work in my new shed.
Thanks Guys, I know i'm putting a fair bit up here on one specific part of this car build, but I figure if anyone has an inclination to play with the spare wheel area of their van/ute, the pics might provide some help.
Anyway, the next step is to get the body onto the rotisserie so painting can start. When the body comes off the chassis, i will bring it home and mount the drive train in so i can get the mechanical bits done.
Hopefully this thread should move onto something more exciting within a week.
It's all exciting for us mate!
Everyone that is following your build is travelling the path with you, and there's no such thing as too much information. Good job.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Hi all, I'm back with another update. But firstly, I didn't see Valencia's question on paint colour, so to answer, its going to be Green. Not a Sandman green, but more towards the Holden Atomic Green on the late model Commodores. I have Kermit the frog green in my head as well so something similar.
Well today was getting the body onto the rotisserie day. Some pics below...
