Thanks Innuendo. Yeah i can see more moments coming my way before this is over.

Anyway, had a slightly easier time with my new radiator and thermo fan setup this weekend, got it mocked up and settled in without too much hassle. Just ended up having to purchase a WB V8 bottom hose and a VN-VT 304 efi top hose to get it plumbed up. The radiator didn't get painted after recon, as its going to the panel shop so they can do a shiny 2pak job on it.

You don't want to get 2-Pak paint anywhere on the fins or tubes as it will effect cooling. Tanks and frame would be OK.

Spent today washing and cleaning all the air ducting and boxes. Got a couple of the big bits fitted under the dash tonight and will try to mock up the entire under dash area so i can then see where the efi engine computer, ignition coil, ignition module and efi fuse/relay box will fit.

Pretty awesome Sunday in Melbourne so spent the day pushing along on the van project. Got all the A/C piping positioned under the dash (can't believe how much room this stuff takes up) and then decided to do a first fit of the console. I wanted the console in so i can then root around with the seats to get them positioned just right.

Had to empty the garage and jump up into the attic to get the console out, its been up there for about 4 years and for a while, i'd actually forgotten where i'd put it. Anyway, Statesman consoles don't fit vans as the floor kicks up towards the load bed and prevents the console from sitting correctly, so just needed some plastic removed at the back and its in. I also dug out my NOS console insert and dropped it in for a look.

Happy with he weekends efforts...now its time to drink....

Great Work, i love what you are doing with the interior. The pano is going to be awsome! After i finish the sanman ute , i actually want to do a Hz premier wagon following a similar concept to yours. It so cool, cant wait to see final result.

Thanks HJsandman75, glad the project can help with ideas for your wagon.

Speaking of interiors, is there any steering wheel option that works better on HQ-WB than a GTS wheel? I can't seem to think of anything better.

I purchased a present for myself today...a GTS steering wheel from Rare Spares. Chucked it in the van this arvo and very happy with the look and feel. Heading off to Busselton in WA this weekend, so no tinkering on the van project.
